Inside: Find out what to do about all the “expert advice” you hear and what to do if you can’t do what they are advising!
We’ve all been there...
“Just wake up at 5am.”
“Just start running.”
“Just eat differently.”
“Just meal plan.”
You are not sure how in the world you will do these thing, but you are committed to changing! Doing things that you have never done before! If it works for them, it’ll work for me!
(This is where I want to grab you and hug you tight.)
Absolutely YES! The thing that person is talking about may absolutely work for you. Heck- that is why I am almost in remission! I tried something that someone said I should!
But there are times that it doesn’t work as well.
If it doesn’t work for you for some reason, it doesn’t mean that you are broken.
There is nothing wrong with you.
You are not a failure.
Please here me when I say this.
You are not a failure or disappointment because you can not do something that works for someone else.
It may just not be the right time.
You may have littles. You may be too sick. Whatever the season of life you are in that is preventing you from doing that thing will hopefully pass.
Work on what is preventing you from getting to your goal. Then try again.
Watch the video below!
If you have things that you have heard will make your life better, easier, more productive and you have tried them and they didn’t work for you- tuck them in your pocket for another day.
There was a season in my life where I absolutely had to wake up when my body naturally woke up for the day. Could have been 6am or 9am. My husband had morning duty with the kids and that was how our mornings went.
Then I started to feel better and realized that I could be in more control of when I woke up.
I have been wanting to wake up earlier and at a set time for a while!
But I didn’t rush into it. I took my time over several weeks to learn how to wake up at an early hour again. bed time needs to be sacred in order for my early wake up time to work as well.
When things get out of whack, I just take a few days to get back on track.
So in the end, I am able to take the advice of “wake up at 5am every morning” to what works for me and our family.
It doesn’t look exactly like what that person suggested and that is okay. I took the spirit of the message and adapted it to work for us.
That is really what you need to do with anything that people say works for them.
Run it through your filter. Will a carbon copy work for you? If so, great! if not, look at the spirit of the message and make your life shine!
If you are struggling to get through the day to day of your chronic illness, I created a course with trick and tips that have helped me. Go through the course and see what works for you! What can you adapt and what can you copy? What will you set aside for another day?
When I first started on my road to wellness- and I was pretty much on bed rest- the only thing I could do was take some capsules in the morning. Once they started helping me and I was feeling the benefits of them, THEN I could move onto batch cooking - setting up systems, etc. So choose where you are and see how what I have learned can help you!
